Blätt­chen & Part­ner advi­ses SUSE on acqui­si­ti­on by EQT

Munich, July 10, 2018 — Blätt­chen & Part­ner advi­sed the SUSE manage­ment on the suc­cessful sale to the finan­cial inves­tor EQT.

SUSE, foun­ded in 1992 and head­quar­te­red in Nurem­berg, Ger­ma­ny, is one of the worl­d’s lea­ding pro­vi­ders of open source soft­ware solu­ti­ons. With reve­nues of $320 mil­li­on in 2017 and appro­xi­m­ate­ly 1,400 employees world­wi­de, SUSE has beco­me a mar­ket lea­der in infra­struc­tu­re and appli­ca­ti­on deli­very solu­ti­ons. SUS­E’s ver­sa­ti­le and relia­ble pro­ducts and sup­port ser­vices help cus­to­mers mana­ge com­ple­xi­ty, redu­ce cos­ts and secu­re and impro­ve busi­ness-cri­ti­cal pro­ces­ses. Swe­dish pri­va­te equi­ty inves­tor EQT has acqui­red open source soft­ware ven­dor SUSE. EQT spe­cia­li­zes in growth-ori­en­ted com­pa­nies, pri­ma­ri­ly in Euro­pe, Asia and North Ame­ri­ca, and sup­ports them in their sus­tainable expan­si­on. With the acqui­si­ti­on, EQT aims to con­ti­nue and expand SUS­E’s long-term growth and inno­va­ti­on.
