Dr. Konrad Bösl, co-editor and co-author of the new publication Debt Financing for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises — Alternatives to Bank Credit, published by C.H.Beck.

Munich | Stuttgart, January 2014. Dr. Konrad Bösl, CEO of Blättchen & Partner, is co-editor and co-author of the new publication “Foreign Financing for Medium-Sized Enterprises — Alternatives to Bank Credit”. The handbook has been published by the renowned publishing house C.H.Beck and follows on from the successful publication “Mezzanine Financing”. On more than 300 pages, almost 20 authors bring practical and creative solutions for financing small and medium-sized enterprises to the fore.

The house banking principle is becoming increasingly important for medium-sized companies. In the last economic crisis, some entrepreneurs have experienced that banks cannot rely on the willingness of banks to finance companies under difficult economic conditions, or only to a limited extent. Not least because of this, bank-independent debt financing instruments have become increasingly prominent in recent years. The issuance of more than 140 Medium-sized bonds on the German stock exchanges in specially designed market segments is a clear example of this. Other forms of financing, such as promissory note loans, profit participation certificates or subordinated loans, are now significant building blocks in the financing mix of companies.

“A particular added value of the book lies in the interdisciplinary presentation of the presented financing possibilities. These are assessed from a business, civil and tax point of view,” says Dr. Konrad Bösl, CEO of Blättchen & Partner. “The authors are invariably experienced practitioners who have been familiar with the instruments and the associated requirements for medium-sized enterprises for many years.” Readers will thus have a valuable wealth of experience that has the potential to establish themselves as a pioneering financial advisor in everyday business life.”
